SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – The Shrewsbury Rotary hosted an amazing lunch yesterday featuring several exciting speakers for lunch at Bucca de Beppo.  First, those in attendance had the opportunity for a meet and greet with a team of doctors from the Ukraine, visiting the United States to interface with their colleagues here and discuss epidemiological issues.  After visiting with doctors at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, they will be traveling to Boston to meet with representatives at Natick Labs and Jamaica Plains.

Also joining the group today was Karyn Polito, who spoke on returning to private life and where we as a nation should be going to here to balance the budget.  She discussed the need to reign in wasteful spending, and reduce the deficit, and cited that as of this moment, each American citizen had incurred a $50,000 debt, just to pay the multi-trillion dollar deficit.  As for her current and future plans, she’s been spending her time enjoying her awesome family, working on her business, and preparing to help US Senator Scott Brown with his upcoming re-election bid.

As for an ultimate return to public office, that decision has yet to be made.  In the interim, it’s all about quality time with family and friends, and keeping an eye on the state of the nation.
