Shrewsbury suspect arrested twice in one week for breaking and entering
The Shrewsbury Police again arrested Nicholas P. Ferrante, 23 Grace Ave., Shrewsbury, Ma., 26 years old for Breaking into a Shrewsbury resident’s home.
On July 12th, 2011 at 0139 hrs Shrewsbury Officers responded to 46 Kinglet Dr. Shrewsbury, for a reported B&E in progress. The victim reported that she had woken up to the suspect in her kitchen and she then chased the suspect out of her house but he stole her pocketbook as he fled. Shrewsbury Officers arrived on scene and obtained a description of the suspect and where the suspect had fled the residence. Shrewsbury Officer Chad Chysna and K-9 Buzzy were called to the scene for the search.
K-9 Buzzy tracked to 23 Grace Ave in Shrewsbury where the suspect was apprehended. The victim’s pocketbook was eventually recovered in the suspect’s yard and returned to the victim. The suspect Ferrante was charged with B&E in the Nighttime and Larceny from a Building. Ferrante was arraigned at Westboro District Court later that morning where he was sentenced to 1 year in the Worcester House Of Correction for a Probation Violation. He also held on $50,000 Cash Bail on the Shrewsbury charges. Involved in the arrest were Sgt. Randolph Holmquist, Officer Christopher Boudreau, Officer Christopher Demers and Detective Brian Thibodeau.
