Two additional Shrewsbury teens arrested
SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – According to the Shrewsbury Police Department, the two additional suspects being sought in last weeks assault and battery case on Rugby Street in Worcester, were arrested. This case was first reported here last week, when the first of the suspects, Jerome Jones, 18, was arrested ( see http://shrewsbury.net/?p=9652 ), and charged in an incident in which a Worcester man was allegedly robbed, beaten and run over with the assailants car. His injuries required several surgical procedures for a broken pelvis and other injuries.
At the time, Worcester Police Indicated that they were searching for the remaining two suspects, and those two were picked up by Shrewsbury Police. The first suspect was Tyler S McClennan, 17, of 4 Adin Drive in Shrewsbury and the other was Anthony William Lapierre, 18, of 123 Prospect Street. Police records indicate that Lapierre was picked up last November and was charged with unarmed robbery, conspiracy, and assault and battery. The first two charged were ultimately dismissed, and the assault and battery charge was noted as “sufficient facts found but continued without finding” for one year, with probation. Lapierre was ordered to write an apology to the victim, pay restitution, and perform community service.
Both teens were charged with the following offenses:
MGL 265/17/A – Armed robbery (car)
MGL 265/15A/D – Aggravated Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
MGL 265/15A/A – Assault
and MGL 265 265/15A/C -Assault
